Ektopia is also open by appointment.

Ektopia is pleased to present woodcuts by Sergio Garzón. His monumental prints are eight feet tall and were printed by hand. His work explores parallels between his native Colombia and Hawaii. Sergio's hand carved wood plates will also be on display. Please join us by five o'clock when Sergio will present a talk about his work.

Sergio, a member of the Chibcha tribe, was born in Bogotá, Colombia. Here in Honolulu he initiated and organized the first steamroller printing event sponsored by the Honolulu Printmakers. He has received a prestigious scholarship to study in Berlin in 2013. This will be his final exhibition in Honolulu before he leaves for Germany.
